Burdens on CA Businesses

California business owners need a break. What they need most is an opportunity to catch up on all of the legislative mandates already passed by the California Legislature in the past several years.

According to a statewide PPIC survey, 69% of those polled - 71% of likely voters - say bad times lie ahead. A pessimism jump of 12% since April of 2021.

California businesses are asking the Legislature to “HIT THE PAUSE BUTTON” on all new employer mandates in 2024 so they can try to navigate all the pre-existing burdens on California businesses.

New mandates just make it harder. Harder to understand. Harder to comply. Harder to sleep. Harder to be optimistic about our future.
